Cosmetology

Aveda is well known in cosmetology instruction and salon services. At Aveda Institute Maryland, students can receive industry leading instruction in cutting technique, cosmetic chemistry, and coloring. By the end of the Cosmetology course, students can be trained for a career in the beauty industry, well instructed under the Aveda brand.

Aveda uses naturally derived ingredients whenever possible. We are globally aware and our products are kinder to the planet than traditional products. These make our products better for Earth and better for hair.

About Our Program

We pay attention to detail at our salon. While freshmen courses often contain upwards of 20-25 students, we try to keep our class sizes small, around 15 students per class. This allows each student to receive personalized instruction.

Program Information

1500 hours | 43-50 weeks day programs & 50-60 weeks evening programs

Aveda Institute’s cosmetology program incorporates extensive hands-on learning to provide students with a total body approach to beauty and wellness. Express your creativity and develop your natural talent in Aveda’s in-depth, hands-on Cosmetology program. Aveda Institute’s Cosmetology program includes hair cutting, color, texture services, nail care, makeup application, business development, retail knowledge and the concept of gaining and retaining clients. You’ll be developing your new skills on guests and building confidence in your abilities. Upon completion of program and Maryland State Test, graduates are ready to succeed as licensed Cosmetologists.
